Tan Xuguang Expresses Wechai’s Goal to Fulfill or Even Overfulfill Production Targets in his Trip to Upstream and Downstream Cooperating Companies

　　From 9:00 a.m. on February 27, Weichai’s senior management team, led by Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Weichai Group, has visited HOWNSEA in Changyi City, Shengrui Transmission and Huafeng Power in High-tech Zone, and Lovol in Fangzi District, among other upstream and downstream partners of the Group.

　　Core suppliers are the most critical factor to ensure Weichai to fulfill or overfulfill its production targets. Weichai has been fueling the proper operations of over 300 industry chain partners in Shandong since it resumed production on the third day of Chinese Lunar New Year. On behalf of the Group, Chairman Tan extended heartfelt thanks to all upstream partners during the visit. The resumption and maintenance of regular production and the record of zero suspected cases of COVID-19 during this special period of epidemic prevention and control is credited to the full support from the industry chain. Weichai responds positively to the requirements of the CPC Central Committee's meeting to advance the work on coordinating the prevention and control of COVID-19 and economic and social development, setting a goal to fulfill or overfulfill its production goals in March. Chairman Tan also expressed his wish for continued support from these upstream partners.

According to the persons-in-charge of these enterprises, their companies are ready and will do their best to cooperate with Weichai to efficiently meet the market demand. 

Tan Xuguang visits Shengrui Transmission 

　　Shengrui Transmission, restructured from Weichai in 2003, is also a strategic supplier with a presence in Weichai's development. It has not only provided long-term support for Weichai's supporting services but also developed and manufactured China's first 8AT transmission, winning the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. Chairman Tan talked to the person-in-charge, hoping that Shengrui Transmission would actively participate in the automobile integration across the province and provide reliable automatic transmission products for Shandong to develop a full range of automobiles of its own brand.

　　During the visit, Tan Xuguang said that Weichai would vigorously cooperate with Lovol, an important agricultural equipment group in China, to meet the demand of the spring ploughing machinery market and provide the best powertrain for farmers. Lovol and Weichai are promoting an orderly restructuring to speed up the completion of a full range of powertrain, especially the completion of high-tech hydraulic powertrain and CVT powertrain, in a bid to contribute to the modernization of agricultural machinery in China.
