  On November 8, the announcement ceremony of the 13th Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Prize was grandly held in Beijing. Nuclear power expert Peng Shilu won the Guanghua Engineering Technology Achievement Prize, all academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering’s Department of Medicine and Health received the Guanghua Engineering Technology Special Contribution Prize, and 39 mechanical and transportation engineering management experts, including Tan Xuguang, received the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Prize.

  Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Prize is supervised by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and is known as the "highest Prize in China’s engineering industry", which has greatly inspired the enthusiasm and creativity of Chinese engineers and scientists in the research, development and application of engineering science and technology. 

  Tan Xuguang has long been engaged in the research and industrialization of key technologies for heavy-duty high-speed diesel engines and powertrains. He presided over the development of the world's first independent heavy-duty commercial vehicle powertrain R&D and manufacturing base, overcoming key international technical problems. He also presided over the construction of an integrated engineering management model for heavy-duty high-speed diesel engines and powertrains and an international technology integration engineering management method, which formed the global competitive advantage of China’s heavy commercial vehicles and made important contributions to the development of equipment manufacturing industry.
