Tan Xuguang Elected as Chairman of Chinese Engine Carbon Neutral Innovation Alliance

　　On April 22, 2021, the Chinese Engine Carbon Neutral Innovation Alliance was formally established. At 2 o'clock, 20 core members of the Alliance organized a roundtable forum. At the forum, Tan Xuguang, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, Director of the State Key Laboratory of Engine Reliability, was elected as the chairman of the first Chinese Engine Carbon Neutrality Innovation Alliance.

　　Representatives from 20 Alliance members: Chinese Society of Internal Combustion Engines, China Society of Automotive Engineers, China Association of National Shipbuilding Industry, China Classification Society, Weichai Holding Group Co., Ltd., China Shipbuilding Corporation No. 711 Research Institute, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, FAW Group Co., Ltd., Dongfeng Group Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Group Co., Ltd., China Petrochemical Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd., Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Co., Ltd., Yunnan Yunnei Power Group Co., Ltd., Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Beijing Jiaotong University, Dalian University of Technology, etc., discussed the Alliance charter, development plan, and key core technologies for carbon neutrality in the engine industry chain. The Alliance has reached a high degree of consensus and will work hard to contribute to the realization of China’s goal of "carbon peak and carbon neutralization."
