Man Shengang Visits Singapore to Investigate the Business Development of Shandong Heavy Industry in Southeast Asia

During the period from October 8th to October 11th, Man Shengang, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group (the Group), left for Singapore to investigate at Shandong Heavy Industry (Singapore) Operation Center, arrange the Group’s business development in Southeast Asian market, visit strategic partners and VIP customer representatives, and attend the Ceremony for the Delivery of Zhongtong New Energy Buses & Global Debut of N12D Double-deck Electric Bus.

On October 8th, Man Shengang came to Shandong Heavy Industry (Singapore) Operation Center, where he visited the product exhibition center, greeted front-line employees, and presided over a special scheduling meeting on Southeast Asian market. Meanwhile, he listened to the reports on the business development of affiliated enterprises in Southeast Asia, such as Weichai Group, Sinotruk, SHACMAN, Shantui, Zhongtong, Weichai Lovol Intelligent Agriculture, Lovol Heavy Industry, and FAST.

Man Shengang pointed out that Southeast Asia is a key area for high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" and also a new growth pole of the global economy. It plays a vital role for the internationalization strategy of Shandong Heavy Industry. Shandong Heavy Industry’s business development in Southeast Asian market started early, and now enjoys good foundation, strong momentum, and great potential, implying a broad prospect. It maintains the fast-growing tendency, so there must be huge growth potential and space. We must unswervingly seize opportunities, adjust the structure, and take product export as the strategic focus of current development and the priority project of each enterprise to accelerate the transformation toward high-tech, high-quality and high value-added products and toward integrated solutions. We must unswervingly make excellent products, create a well-known brand, and live up to the goal “Unprecedented, More Excellent, Unique”, while building a differentiated and unique competitive edge and fostering a medium- and high-end brand image. We must unswervingly prefect the system and respond swiftly, and quicken the pace to achieve in-depth localization of the “Six in One” (namely, integration of product, manufacturing, accessories, service, finance and brand). On October 11th, the “Ceremony for the Delivery of Zhongtong New Energy Buses & Global Debut of N12D Double-deck Electric Bus” event grandly took place in Singapore. As the quintessence of Zhongtong Bus's technological innovation in recent years, Zhongtong N12D double-deck electric bus redefines the new benchmark of China's new energy buses for its unique design, advanced performance and excellent quality. It’s worth saying that the ceremony was attended by Kang Yiming, counselor of the Embassy of China in Singapore, Fu Xiaohui, general representative of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in Singapore and secretary-general of the China Enterprises Association (Singapore), Benjamin, president of Singapore Jardine Matheson Group, et al.

During the “Singapore-Shandong Week”, multiple products of Shandong Heavy Industry were showcased at the "Premium Products of Shandong" Singapore Exhibition. At the Shandong State-owned Assets & Enterprises and Singapore Matchmaking Conference, Weichai signed the "B100 Bio-fuel Marine Power Development and Experiment Project" cooperation agreement with Nanyang Technological University, China Classification Society and Summit Maritime.
