Shandong H.I. and JD.com Ink a Strategic Cooperation Pact

On December 17, a signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation between Shandong Heavy Industry Group (Shandong H.I.) and JD.com took place at the headquarters of JD.com. Man Shengang, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Xu Ran, vice chairman of the SEC and CEO of JD.com, attended the signing ceremony and held discussions and exchanges.

This signing marks that the two sides will develop all-around and in-depth cooperation in multiple fields such as smart logistics and supply chain, industrial Internet, digital and intelligent procurement and corporate operation services. The two sides will give full play to their respective advantages, take the supply chain as the foundation, jointly explore the integrated application of frontier technologies in industrial equipment systems, and promote the transformation and acceleration of the industry’s digital and intelligent process. In addition, the two sides will work together to build a professional and trustworthy supply chain service system for customers, helping them reduce costs, improve quality, and raise efficiency.

Man Shengang noted that Shandong H.I. is committed to building a high-end equipment transnational group that leads in science and technology, develops in a green way, and ranks top in the world. Since this year, Shandong H.I., in face of complex and severe challenges in the industry, has achieved growth against the trend, and shown a healthy development trend featuring steady progress and improvement. There is huge space and potential for future cooperation between Shandong H.I. and JD.com. Man hopes that on the basis of well-built cooperation in the past, the two sides will keep deepening all-round business coordination, jointly carry out digital and intelligent strategic transformation, build a high-level interaction mechanism, and continuously promote the strategic cooperation to develop further, expand in multiple respects, and extend to the future. Both sides are supposed to jointly build new competitive advantages in the integrated development of digital intelligence and the real economy.

Xu Ran spoke highly of the achievements made by Shandong H.I. She said that JD.com, which is positioned as a technology and service provider based on the supply chain, has extended its line of business to retail, technology, logistics, health, industrial development, industry, insurance and internationalization. Xu added that Shandong H.I. and JD.com have complementary advantages, so the two sides can learn from each other, share opportunities, expand cooperation, and make greater achievements in carrying on the past and forging ahead into the future. JD.com will provide better services to help business segments of Shandong H.I. speed up the digital and intelligent transformation & upgrading and keep improving their competitiveness.

Before the meeting, Man Shengang also visited the JD.com showroom. This ceremony was attended by Wang Zhijian, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Ma Changhai, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, Hu Wei, member of the SEC of JD.com and CEO of JD Logistics, Wang Pei'nuan, senior vice president of JD.com, and other relevant leaders. Liu Huisheng, deputy general manager of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, and Li Jing, senior vice president of JD.com, signed the agreement on behalf of the two sides.
