On January 18, the 2025 annual conference of Shandong Heavy Industry Group was held in Jinan. The conference reviewed the Group's economic performance for 2024, analyzed the current internal and external challenges, and strategically planned the key priorities for 2025, so as to set the stage for embarking on a new journey, reaching new heights, and achieving new accomplishments. Man Shengang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, delivered a speech titled "Never Resting, Always Leading, Striving for Excellence: Accelerating Towards a World-Class Multinational High-end Equipment Group." The conference was presided over by Wang Zhijian, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager, while Ye Jianjun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director, announced the commendation decisions.
Man Shengang highlighted that 2024 was an exceptionally unusual, challenging, and extraordinary year in the development history of Shandong Heavy Industry Group. The new leadership team maintained clear-headed rationality, high morale, and passionate drive, advancing through tradition, innovating while staying true, and ushering in a new era despite global economic sluggishness and increasing instability and uncertainty. They also faced dual pressures from the domestic equipment manufacturing industry's low performance and intensified internal competition. Nevertheless, all major operating indicators showed a marked improvement, reaching historic highs. The Group achieved a total revenue of RMB 550 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9%, and a total profit of RMB 28.1 billion, up 29% year-on-year, with operational efficiency and profitability leading the industry, ranking first among provincial enterprises. The overall performance exhibited six key characteristics: ongoing optimization of market layout, strengthened industry leadership, comprehensive global collaboration and stable overseas growth, significant contributions from high export growth and business increases, accelerated innovation with robust technological momentum, comprehensive reform leading to an improved management control system, and strengthened consensus and cultural leadership.
Man Shengang emphasized the focus for 2025 should be on successfully concluding the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" and laying the foundation for the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" by fully advancing the "12345" development strategy.

Man Shengang emphasized that achieving the Group's strategic goals hinges on building a management team with global leadership and influence. Management teams at all levels must always maintain a constant crisis awareness and accurately grasp the pulse of the times to build high-efficiency learning capabilities. They should dare to challenge themselves, actively seek innovation and change, thus developing a strong drive for transformation. By maintaining an open mindset and benchmarking against world-class standards, they can cultivate global management capabilities. Establishing a holistic perspective and deepening co-creation and sharing will build strategic synergy, while rallying consensus and energizing the entire workforce will strengthen cultural leadership. The focus should remain steadfast on "leading and shouldering major responsibilities," concentrating solely on core businesses, committing to a unified strategic vision, and moving forward together with determination and concerted effort. This unified push will elevate Shandong Heavy Industry Group's operations to new levels, create new situations, and strive to define a new chapter in high-quality development.
The outstanding organizations and individuals within Shandong Heavy Industry Group for 2024 were commended and rewarded at the conference. Man Shengang presented awards to winners of the first, second, and special contribution awards in the "Fourth Quarter Battle" initiative, while Ye Jianjun presented awards to winners of the Corporate Culture Star and corporate culture demonstration site awards for 2024.
Agreements on the objectives and responsibilities for Party building and operational targets for 2025 were signed during the conference. Man Shengang signed the 2025 Operational Targets Responsibility Agreement of Shandong Heavy Industry Group with Wang Zhijian, and also signed the 2025 Party Building Objectives Agreement with the heads of party organizations for affiliated enterprises. Wang Zhijian signed the 2025 Operational Targets Responsibility Agreement with the main leaders of affiliated enterprises.
Key executives from Weichai Group, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group, Shantui Construction Machinery, Weichai Lovol Smart Agriculture, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, and KION Group made statements of commitment to achieving a strong start in the first quarter.
During the annual conference, a special report session was held, inviting experts to lecture on the global economic landscape, new energy and digital intelligence transition, as well as global brand and cultural development.
More than 700 participants, including members of the leadership team of Shandong Heavy Industry Group, all headquarters employees, leadership teams of major domestic affiliated companies, and management from overseas subsidiaries, as well as station representatives, attended the conference in person.
