In recent years, rapid advances in AI have accelerated the build-out of computing infrastructure, driving a surge in demand for large-bore generator sets for data-center applications and making the segment a key battleground for leading global brands.

Recently in Southeast Asia, Weichai delivered data-center generator sets powered by Baudouin 16M33, 20M33 and 12M55 engines in large batches to a data-center customer. With a distinctive combination of products and services, Weichai has continued to stand out in the local data-center market.

Weichai’s M33/M55 series generator sets deliver stable and reliable performance, fast starting, strong load acceptance and ultra-low fuel consumption. All key performance indicators meet and exceed project design requirements, earning high customer recognition and multiple large-volume repeat purchases, with follow-on orders continuing to grow.

Malaysia is a key market for Weichai in Southeast Asia. Local data-center customers set extremely stringent requirements for gen-set stability and commissioning efficiency, and the hot and humid climate adds further challenges to commissioning work.

From inspecting fuel system components to testing wire harness communications, from verifying sensor status to tracing signal transmission paths, Weichai’s engineers repeatedly checked every step to ensure nothing was overlooked.

From evening to early morning, team members worked in shifts, maintaining high focus throughout. When they felt drowsy, they would lean against a wall for a brief nap; when they got hungry, they grabbed a few bites of the bread they had brought along. Despite the exhausting hot and humid conditions, no one complained or backed down.

A customer commented, “We chose Weichai not only for its outstanding product quality, but also for its attentive full life-cycle service support, which gives us greater peace of mind and convenience.”

Such recognition of Weichai’s engineering team also underscores the company’s capability to grow rapidly in the market.
