On July 21, the Shandong Heavy Industry Global Partners Conference and Green Intelligent Products Exhibition opened at the Vietnam National Convention Center (VEC). In the exhibition area dedicated to technology, Weichai unveiled products across five major technology pathways: battery electric systems, hybrid power systems, proton exchange membrane fuel cells, alternative-fuel internal combustion engines, and intelligent driving assistance systems, fully demonstrating its technical expertise and ongoing innovation built through years of deep engagement in power.

The global debut of these five major technology pathways reflects Weichai’s early planning, early-stage development and early reserve of core technologies based on global trends in the equipment industry, and underscores its capability and commitment to support global sustainable development.

In the power system exhibition area, the golden powertrain — comprising Weichai engines, Fast transmissions, Hande Axle axles and Zhuzhou Gear — stands out for strong power, high efficiency and reliability, highlighting the advantages of integrated integration.

Among them, the WP12H commercial vehicle diesel powertrain features strong power, lightweight complete units and low fuel consumption, meets stringent European emission standards, and is widely suited for tractor truck, dump trucks, buses and other vehicle types.

In the new energy exhibition area, Weichai showcased the latest technological achievements in battery, motor and electronic control three-electric products.

Among them, the full range of power battery products covers the power range of the mainstream market. Its technologies for single-pack battery, underfloor battery and CTB battery are mature and widely used, making them well suited for heavy-duty truck, light-duty truck, buses, Construction Machinery, agricultural equipment, marine vessels and industrial vehicles. With safe performance and long driving range, these products can fully meet the diverse needs of customers in Southeast Asia and other global markets.

Power and Energy Technologies Continue to Evolve

Diverse Products Enable the Global Market

The power and energy exhibition area featured generator sets powered by diesel, gas and heavy fuel oil, as well as a newly developed in-house microgrid solution. Among them, the 16M55 diesel generator set, 12M33 containerized diesel generator set, 8WH28 heavy fuel oil generator set, 16M33 containerized gas generator set and 20M55 gas generator set made a collective debut, with broad applications in data center, large-scale infrastructure projects and island-mode power supply.

At the event, the microgrid solution drew strong interest. It is a new solution launched by Weichai to address pressing market demand driven by faster AI computing infrastructure buildout, the adoption of zero-carbon parks and intelligent upgrading in remote mining areas. This solution deeply integrates a hybrid power station, mobile photovoltaic, energy storage system, integrated storage-charging unit and an SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) power generation system, providing customers with a one-stop, deployable, closed-loop power solutions offering lower costs, low emissions and high reliability.
